A woman was bitten by a bull shark in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
Jessica Vaughn,22, and her friends wanted to go tubing in the ocean around 11:30 a.m., but the tide was too high.
The group decided to head to the intracostal water way and stopped about 150 feet away from Bayshore Towers.
Vaughn was skeptical of the dark murky water, but really wanted to go tubing and jumped in the water. As she swam back to the boat, she felt something punch her right leg. She immediately signaled the boat that picked her up and took her to a close by dock.
They began patching her up using the boats first aid kit and notified Emergency services around 1:30 p.m..
Thankfully, the damage was to the skin and some muscle damage, although it will take around three to four months to recover.
The location has been marked on the 2014 Shark Attack Bite map.
