A surfer was bitten by a shark in Hawaii, while two teens are recovering after being attacked by a shark in Victoria, Australia.
In Hawaii, Jahred Willaford was surfing off Banyans beach in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii Dec. 4.
Around 5:55 p.m. Willaford was sitting on his board when a shark grabbed his arm and pulled him underwater. He was able to push the shark off and scramble back on his board.
He alerted another surfer and quickly headed into shore.
Emergency personnel arrived and administered first aid before taking the injured man to the hospital.

Jack Shaw and his friend Tiarna, both 15, were swimming off Ocean Grove Beach Dec. 6. Around 7 p.m., the shaw was bitten on the back by a reef shark or bronze whaler.
Shaw hit the shark and the duo began swimming in, that’s when the shark hit Tiarna biting her calf and hand. Shaw started hitting the shark until they could get away.
Witnesses Peter and Dianne Hobbs thought the duo were playing until they began yelling “Shark!”.
The family quickly assisted the pair’s injuries. Ms. Hobbs, who is a trauma nurse, applied a tourniquet to the Tiarna, who sustained the worse injuries.
Mr. Hobbs called emergency services while his children helped comfort teens, who appeared to be in shock..
The teens were taken to Geelong Hospital in stable condition.
Both locations have been marked on the 2021 Shark Attack map.
