A 16 year-old boy(Andrew Vance) was in the swimming area of Cape Henlopen State Park Monday, standing in about 5 feet of water when something grabbed his left arm. He then used his right arm to hit at what he believes was a shark, which swam away. He was treated on scene by lifeguards and the Lewes Fire Department carted him the Beebe Medical Center. He was treat for several gashes on his arm.
No information is available on the type of shark. CBS Philly reports Chief Wayne Kline of the Parks Enforcementwill delay allowing swimmers in the water today until later in the morning as the DNREC marine biologists and life guards monitor the water.
