Aadyn Crick an eight-year-old boy was bitten by a shark in the shallows of the Indialantic on Monday. Aaydn and his mother Michelle had just arrived at the beach and stepped in the water to test the currents. Michelle was getting out of the water to put her shoes on when she heard Aaydn scream. She told Bay News 9 “I turned around and picked him up. I mean the whole bottom part of his knee, it was exposed, it was showing bone”
Aaydn told Click Orlando “The waves pushed me down on the sand and I went to get back up and something pushed me down and my whole skin was gone”, he said. “My eyes opened and then about a second later, I started to scream because it hurt so much.”
His mother and other family members removed him from the water and called 911. Aayden was taken to Holmes Regional in Melbourne, where doctors operated on his right knee. He is now in physical therapy. His mother added “Everyone keeps telling him ‘chicks dig scars”
