Forty three year old Indonesian man Sunarko was bitten by a shark on June 10, 2014. According to the jornal do commercio the incident took place in area 300 miles (500 km) off the coast of Pernambuco, Brazil. Another ship with a doctor and helicopter was dispatched to meet the victim.
Comments on the article state the man was hoisting the shark on board when it bit his arm, which later had to be amputated. However the man did survive.
