A 16 foot (5m) great white shark bites a smaller white shark while feeding in the Neptune Islands, off the coast of Adelaide, South Australia.
Jason Whittle photographed the moment a juvenile shark did not follow feeding hierarchy and tried to grab a bite before the larger sharks were done. The larger shark displayed it’s dominance by biting the juvenile.
The large shark released the juvenile and continued to feed. The young shark survived the ordeal, but had a few more scars added to hits snout.
insane how sharks have such a hierarchy very cool
