A great white shark has been filmed half breaching while chasing a grey seal in Cape Cod Massachusetts.
Dr. Greg Skomal of the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries was working with Atlantic White Shark Conservancy when he filmed the video on August 17.
Dr. Skomal told National Geographic the 12-foot log shark, nicknamed “lumpy”, “was unaware of the seal until the two were fairly close to each other.”
Once the shark spotted the seal though the low vis water The shark just charged the seal. The seal suddenly saw the shark coming at it and launched itself out of the water.” The shark gave chase and we have great video.
