The eight shark bite of 2014 has been reported in Florida.
Dylan Fuggit was surfing with his brother at Santa Lucia Beach on Sunday.
The 20-year-old accidentally kicked a shark and it bit his foot down to the bone.
He was taken to the emergency room where he received 20 stitches.
There were 23 shark attacks in Florida last year.
That’s because sharks, just like tourists like warm water and mild surf. The last fatal shark attack in Florida happened in Martin County four years ago when a kite surfer was killed. Dylan’s injuries were minor and the surfer even kept his cool.
This is the eighth bite of 2014, although two were OUW (out of water) so its actually the sixth in water bite.
