An 8ft 350lbs Bull Shark was recently caught around 3.5 miles south of St. Andrews Pass. After a 45 minute fight time Gabriel Smegby and Derrick Keeny reeled in the shark Tuesday. Mr. Smegby told The News Hearlad “We were absolutely blown away.” “We’re more on the conservation side,” Smegby said. “It’s been a long time since we decided to keep a shark. We’ve released thousands of them.”
Smegby runs a fishing group called Dark Side Sharkers and donated the meat to a local fish market. “Nothing went to waste,” he said.
