David Quinlivann was bitten by on the leg by a shark in Australia today.
The 65-year-old was on his surf ski at Black Head Beach off the coast Forster, which is North of Sydney, when the incident occurred.
The shark, thought to be a great white, knocked him off his ski and into the water.
Mr. Quinlivan was able to climb back on to his ski and catch a wave back to shore.
He was flown by helicopter for emergency surgery the serious wound.
This is the third attack bite in Australia within the past month.
